Who do I contact for feedback on my application or to discuss my offer??
You can request?feedback?on your application by writing to the college you applied to, or were allocated to. Please note that data protection legislation means we cannot discuss applications with third parties. If you have a question regarding your offer, you should contact the college who has offered you a place, or who is underwriting your open offer. When will I hear about my Admissions Test results??
Although tutors will use any test results to help inform their shortlisting decisions, candidates who sat the CAT, MLAT, OLAT, PAT and HAT do not routinely receive their results. After all decisions have been made in mid-January, results can be requested as part of our?feedback process.
MAT scores will be automatically distributed to all applicants shortly after college decision letters are sent.
Can I visit Oxford University?
We run University-wide?open days?and many departments also run subject-specific?open days. Other events are listed in our?events calendar. If you cannot attend any of these events you may wish to make an?independent visit.
What subjects should I take to A-level (or equivalent) and what grades do I need?
The exact subject requirements vary depending on the course you want to apply for. As a guide, you will need to achieve between AAA and A*A*A at A-level or an equivalent level qualification. Are my GCSEs good enough for Oxford?
GCSEs will be taken into account when we consider your application but they are just one aspect that we look at. Tutors will also consider your achieved or predicted grades at A-level (or other equivalent qualifications), your personal statement, academic reference, and any written work or written tests required for your course. If your application is shortlisted, your performance at interview will also be taken in to account.
